Help with Book

Well, the book is moving slowly but gaining some steam. The first week is always the toughest. Last year David had some time off before we left and could get relaxed after a busy school season of coaching. However, this year he finished off coaching clients right to the last day before the trip so the first week of riding was not devoted to as much writing as he would have liked. However, he finished the beginning and the first page or two of chapter one. This is the toughest when you write in a fable genre. He would like to solicit all your thoughts about what he has so far, so if you would like to read it and comment on it click here. Remember, however, David is free-flow-writing. So, if you are a typo freak and have to read things that have no mistakes don't attempt to download. David has put a virus in the manuscript to deliberately foil your life. There are tons of mistakes and lots to critic. David is looking for your thoughts as to the ideas he is trying to get across. There is plenty of time for correcting typos later. That's what David pays the editor for.

Let us know what you think. After dinner tonight we realized some of you may not want to be honest or may not want to be honest on the blog for others to see. So, we offer this solution: You can email David directly at davidtraining@aol.com. Your honesty will make the manuscript better and obviously more valuable. No, you will not get a cut of the proceeds but my grandchildren will appreciate that you enriched their inheritance.

Gave it a quick read cuz as soon as I saw it i needed to read it -- but I didn't have much time. Very awesome idea, and I enjoy the John Bunyan style. You're aware the "celestial city" idea is from from "The Pilgrim's Progress"?

When I get a few mintues, I'll read it again and let you know what I think, if you care :-).

Is your other book allegorical as well?

Alice,

It should be on there. I just tried to connect myself and it was there. Try going to http://hulingsandassociates.com/Publications.html and see if you can get on from there.

Bobby,

Yes, I am familiar with the Pilgrim's Progress connection. That's where I stole the idea. In the manuscript currently under publication Just Middle Manager is traveling to the Celestial City of Influence to be renamed, Next Great Leader. You can read about that one at my www.hulingsandassociates.com web site under "Publications."
